April 2013 Update from Sorenson

The late spring is not stopping progress at Sorenson Seed.

After another week of cold wet wintery weather and it sounds like we have more coming today and tonight, forecasted to receive 4-6” of snow! Is it really the 22nd of April??? The good news is the 6-10 day forecast shows a warming trend, highs of 60-70 by the weekend will feel nice. Maybe this will finally be winters last gasp!

Sorenson Seeds weather station is now live on my website, click on the weather link on the top of the page and it will take you to it. Eventually I’ll also add ground temp and ground moisture sensors that will be interesting to watch as well. If you have a smart phone you can also get the weather underground ap and link it directly to my weather station. You’ll be able to track temp, wind speed and direction and rainfall amounts all from you phone or tablet. If you need help getting it set up give me a call or stop in, I’d be happy to help you out.

With the late spring it’s shaping up to be a hectic planting season. This year I plan on having additional help to do more in-season deliveries. When you get busy, if you need some seed delivered to your field please give me a call. Let’s be safe and patient, but my goal is to help you be as efficient as possible in this busy time!
